“There’s such wealth in a tangible thing like a book, you know? To put your hands on it and do some of the creating with the author. So much of the book happens inside your own head… and that experience is just for you. It’s different from a movie in that way. When an author is setting you up for something that’s good and you can tell it’s good, you got to allow them to be excellent at their craft. Dig in. Let it happen. Right now, I’m reading the third book in a series that’s eventually going to have 10 books, which is ridiculous because all of them are over a thousand pages. There’s just so much to dig into. I need to block out the whole world, so I can go into this one and actually understand what’s going on. But it’s a really cool, really involved fantasy novel. So, I got to pay attention. And I’m excited to have the time to get into it and appreciate the art form.”
